Rainy Day

As it is coming into winter, it's starting to get really wet and cold. So it is important for an outfit to be warm and waterproof. Spray jackets are good for wet weather but don't keep you warm. Clothing items that are made out of wool are a good choice. I have chosen to where a puffer jacket and jeans. The shoes I have chosen are a recent buy from ZARA.

Today I decided to wear this:

Clothes:

Jumper- Rip Curl

Top- Witchery

Pants- Country Road

Shoes:

Sneakers- ZARA

My Twin Sister's Critique:
This outfit is really nice, all the tan in the outfit fits nicely together and the black gives it that winter feel.

Sunday Funday

On Sundays I have a pretty relaxing day except for my acro class at 2:00pm. This outfit I have chosen, shows some leggings; these are my all time favourite pair of pants (my dad calls them my funky trousers) because you instantly have colour in your outfit without even trying. This top is also one of my favourites because it is a neutral colour and goes with everything. I call this a breezy top because it lets air in, but because of the knit it adds that extra bit of warmth, perfect for Autumn. This is one of my favourite outfits.

I decided to wear this:

Clothes:

Top- Industrie girl

Pants- Bardot Junior

Footwear:

Shoes- ZARA

My Twin Sister's Critique:
I love this outfit, I think it is really fun and colourful. The shoes fit nicely with the top and the pants really bring the whole outfit together.

Designer Doggy

My dog has style!

Today I had to drop off my dog at the hairdressers to get her hair cut. I then realised that we needed to get a jumper for winter as it is getting cold. My Mum and I decided to get this adorable onesie for my dog. It has a little dress and bunny ears attatched.

Here is my dog. Her name is Rosie, she is 3 years old and is a cavoodle ( Cavalier King Charles Spaniel + Poodle ). She is a caramel colour so her cream onesie matches perfectly.

My dog Rosie.

Onesie- Pretty Pets

My Twin Sister's Critique:
I think this looks really nice on Rosie. It's warm and snug.

Cycling To The Zoo

On the weekend my family rode our bikes to the zoo along Linear Park. We had a great time and saw a baby gibbon and its jealous older sibling. We also saw an orang-utang wearing its favourite blanky. He had style! Because we were riding I needed something that was made out of a natural fibre and could breathe easily. Cotton was the go. My pants are a few years old and too short but rolled up they look like the newest trend- boyfriend jeans.

So I decided to wear this:

Clothes:

Top: Witchery

Pants: Pumpkin Patch

Accessories:

Hat- Pumpkin Patch

Shoes- Bloch

Sunglasses- WOMAD Stall

Helmet- Nutcase

My Twin Sister's Critique:
I think this outfit is great but if you want to go for the real boyfriend look, go for a more faded out pair of jeans.

My Twin Sister's Critique:

How to Add Colour to Your Wardrobe

How do you add colour to your wardrobe?

I find a good way to add colour to your wardrobe is to slowly add small accessories that have a bright colour on them. One way to do this is by wearing a colour of nail polish. That way when you go shopping and you are wearing nail polish you can add clothes that match the nail polish you're wearing. Then once you get an accessory that matches, you will slowly be able to add full solid colours.

Another way to add colour to your wardrobe is by getting a scarf that varies in different patterns. Choose a main colour from the scarf and start from there. Get matching shoes or nail polish to let the colour look good with your outfit.

Find a nail polish that suits you and your wardrobe. Once you get more confident with wearing your favourite colour, you can start making that colour your base.

My base colour for this year is navy blue. I add colour to my outfits by wearing my fluorescent scarf and orange shoes. Sometimes I bring in a coloured ribbon to start an outfit.

This nail polish is a nice colour to use because it is not too out-there. It can be sophisticated or fun. It is also good because it is not too bright but not too dull.

If this colour is not your type, try it anyway! Step out of your comfort zone and have a go and if it doesn't work out try a different colour. If you feel self conscious about wearing coloured nail polish, how about trying a scarf to get your right colour?

Tuesday Tennis

On Tuesdays I go to tennis. Tennis is a hard thing to style for; you have to keep in mind that you need to be able to move around easily and the clothing choices have to be suitable for the activity you are doing. I love wearing these leggings because of the neutral colours that go with everything.

I decided to wear this:

 Clothes:

Hoodie- Scotch R'Belle

Leggings- Witchery

Shoes- Nike

Tennis Racquet- Wilson

My Twin Sister's Critique:
I think this is a great outfit for tennis. It looks nice and comfortable to be running around in.

Top- industry girl

Pants- Country Road

Accessories:

Shoes- Witchery

Scarf- Witchery

My Twin Sister's Critique:
I think this outfit really shows someone with a sense of style. I love that it shows some colour in cold weather.
