How to Dress Your Outfit Up or Down

How do you dress your outfit up and down?

Dressing your outfit up or down can be a matter of just changing your shoes, how you wear your hair or even jewellery. When you make an outfit choosing the right texture and colour is really important.

To dress your outfit up-
To dress your outfit up you can change your flats to high heels. Your bare nails to glamorous coloured nails or your accessory; handbag, bow, cardigan and sunglasses. To dress your outfit up the texture is really important. Some textures that are good are silk, materials that are decorated with glitter, sequins and diamantes. When you dress your outfit up try to look for tight fitting clothes; mainly dresses and pants - tops can be flowy and loose only when your bottoms are tight.

To dress your outfit down-
Some ways to dress your outfit down are to change the pattern on a scarf or an item of clothing. Some patterns are more suited for going out and some are more casual. Some hairstyles are more casual then others. Some casual styles include, a loose plait, side bun, side pony, all down and half up half down. Also if you are going for a casual look don't wear too much jewellery (less is more).

Sweater Weather

This morning I was looking at clothes online and made an outfit up. The clothes shops that are featured in this outfit are Country Road, asos Petite and David Jones. Straight away I was drawn to this funky sweater because of its patterns and range of colours. I decided then to make an outfit based on it. The shorts in this outfit are actually owned by me but everything else I picked out online.

This is how it turned out:

Headband: Country Road

 Sweater: Country Road

Shorts: asos Petite

Tights: Country Road

Shoes: David Jones

My Twin Sister's Critique:
Everything in this outfit fits nicely together. I love how the shoes relate back to the jumper.
