How do you dress your outfit up and down?
Dressing your outfit up or down can be a matter of just changing your shoes, how you wear your hair or even jewellery. When you make an outfit choosing the right texture and colour is really important.
To dress your outfit up-
To dress your outfit up you can change your flats to high heels. Your bare nails to glamorous coloured nails or your accessory; handbag, bow, cardigan and sunglasses. To dress your outfit up the texture is really important. Some textures that are good are silk, materials that are decorated with glitter, sequins and diamantes. When you dress your outfit up try to look for tight fitting clothes; mainly dresses and pants - tops can be flowy and loose only when your bottoms are tight.
To dress your outfit down-
Some ways to dress your outfit down are to change the pattern on a scarf or an item of clothing. Some patterns are more suited for going out and some are more casual. Some hairstyles are more casual then others. Some casual styles include, a loose plait, side bun, side pony, all down and half up half down. Also if you are going for a casual look don't wear too much jewellery (less is more).
This outfit is a casual, comfy look.
This outfit is a dressed up, goingout look.
This morning I was looking at clothes online and made an outfit up. The clothes shops that are featured in this outfit are Country Road, asos Petite and David Jones. Straight away I was drawn to this funky sweater because of its patterns and range of colours. I decided then to make an outfit based on it. The shorts in this outfit are actually owned by me but everything else I picked out online.
This is how it turned out:
Headband: Country Road
Sweater: Country Road
Shorts: asos Petite
Tights: Country Road
Shoes: David Jones
My Twin Sister's Critique:
Everything in this outfit fits nicely together. I love how the shoes relate back to the jumper.
As it is coming into winter, it's starting to get really wet and cold. So it is important for an outfit to be warm and waterproof. Spray jackets are good for wet weather but don't keep you warm. Clothing items that are made out of wool are a good choice. I have chosen to where a puffer jacket and jeans. The shoes I have chosen are a recent buy from ZARA.
Today I decided to wear this:
Clothes:
Jumper- Rip Curl
Top- Witchery
Pants- Country Road
Shoes:
Sneakers- ZARA
My Twin Sister's Critique:
This outfit is really nice, all the tan in the outfit fits nicely together and the black gives it that winter feel.
On Sundays I have a pretty relaxing day except for my acro class at 2:00pm. This outfit I have chosen, shows some leggings; these are my all time favourite pair of pants (my dad calls them my funky trousers) because you instantly have colour in your outfit without even trying. This top is also one of my favourites because it is a neutral colour and goes with everything. I call this a breezy top because it lets air in, but because of the knit it adds that extra bit of warmth, perfect for Autumn. This is one of my favourite outfits.
I decided to wear this:
Clothes:
Top- Industrie girl
Pants- Bardot Junior
Footwear:
Shoes- ZARA
My Twin Sister's Critique:
I love this outfit, I think it is really fun and colourful. The shoes fit nicely with the top and the pants really bring the whole outfit together.
My dog has style!
Today I had to drop off my dog at the hairdressers to get her hair cut. I then realised that we needed to get a jumper for winter as it is getting cold. My Mum and I decided to get this adorable onesie for my dog. It has a little dress and bunny ears attatched.
Here is my dog. Her name is Rosie, she is 3 years old and is a cavoodle ( Cavalier King Charles Spaniel + Poodle ). She is a caramel colour so her cream onesie matches perfectly.

My Twin Sister's Critique:
I think this looks really nice on Rosie. It's warm and snug.
On the weekend my family rode our bikes to the zoo along Linear Park. We had a great time and saw a baby gibbon and its jealous older sibling. We also saw an orang-utang wearing its favourite blanky. He had style! Because we were riding I needed something that was made out of a natural fibre and could breathe easily. Cotton was the go. My pants are a few years old and too short but rolled up they look like the newest trend- boyfriend jeans.
So I decided to wear this:
Clothes:
Top: Witchery
Pants: Pumpkin Patch
Accessories:
Hat- Pumpkin Patch
Shoes- Bloch
Sunglasses- WOMAD Stall
Helmet- Nutcase
My Twin Sister's Critique:
I think this outfit is great but if you want to go for the real boyfriend look, go for a more faded out pair of jeans.
On Saturdays I go to a dance class. I stay there for quite a while so I need to wear something that keeps me warm but doesn't take much time to get on and off.
I've decided to wear this:
Clothes:
Tracksuit- Australian Ballet Tracksuit - from BLOCH store
Accessories:
Dance Bag- Ripcurl
My Twin Sister's Critique:
I think this is a really clean look, it looks very neat and comfy to wear.
